The Banjaras are a nomadic tribe of people from India, sometimes referred to as the gypsies of India. They are renowned for their unique and brightly colored textile designs. The Banjara people are believed to be the ancestors of the Roma gypsies of Europe. Traditionally, the Banjaras have been traders, cattle breeders, and transporters.
