Vintage/Antique hand-embroidered toran. It is estimated to have been made circa 1970-1980s. It is embellished with mirrors and densely embroidered. The toran is almost all 100% cotton but there are some synthetic materials. The attention to detail and use of traditional techniques make this piece truly special. Traditionally, Indian torans are placed on doorways and thresholds of homes. They are not just decorative pieces but also symbols of warmth, positivity, and protection against negativity.
