Description
Warli painting on cloth. Warli painting is a traditional form of tribal art originating from the Warli tribe in Maharashtra, India. Warli paintings are characterized by simple geometric patterns and motifs that represent the tribe’s everyday life, nature, and spiritual beliefs.
The canvas needs to be dewrinkled, but otherwise the condition is good.
The imagery includes animals, trees, human figures, and symbolic elements such as circles, squares, and triangles, all of which have specific meanings in Warli culture. The designs usually reflect harmony with nature and are often spiritual or ritualistic in nature.
