Description
Vintage Handmade Saree Sari blouse made from cotton fabric. This lovely blouse is brown with a patterned strip on one side of the front featuring yellow buttons and yellow trim. Tie closures on the sides. Still in very good condition for its age. This Saree blouse is perfect for resellers, collectors, or someone seeking traditional vintage Indian apparel.
Size: This blouse would probably fit on the loose side for a size small, or could fit a medium. The bust has a lot of room. Most likely would fit snugly on a 37″ or so bust, but note it is a short top. In 7th photo, this top is worn by someone with a 36″ bust and it wasn’t tight.
Length: Approx. 13 inches from top to bottom.
Width: Approx. 12 inches across the bust when laid flat.
Sourced from Gujarat, India. Made circa 1970s.
Items may be visibly faded, distressed, typical of age, and consistent with most of the textiles in stock, which distinguishes them from the newer, mass-produced textiles made for the tourism and import markets. Most items show some discoloration, wear, missing patches of embroidery or mirrors, and faint stains in some cases.
